Our Approach to Lyrics & Rights

Made for Fans. Built with Respect. Honoring Artists.

Our Respect for Music, Lyrics and the Artists Behind Them

At Prose Print, everything we create is inspired by the power of music. Whether it's a printed piece or a personalized design, our work begins with the lyrics that move people and the artists who gave them life.

We see lyrics as more than just words. They're emotion, memory, and meaning. They're the soundtrack to people's lives sung, felt, and remembered. That’s why we treat every lyric with care and every creation as a tribute to the artist behind it.

Designed for Fans, Not Mass Production

At Prose Print, every shirt begins with a lyric and a fan who loves it.

Each piece is designed with care, attention, and creativity, not mass production. Every shirt we make is personalized, crafted for one individual fan, one lyric, one moment. These are not bulk runs made for profit. They are expressions of love from real fans who feel deeply connected to the words and the artist behind them.

We don't create to exploit, we create to celebrate.
We are not trying to profit off someone else's work.
We are helping fans carry a piece of what they love into the world, to wear it with pride, to share it with others.

We believe in spreading that love, not scaling it.
That is why each shirt is made to order, one at a time.
No warehouses. No overstock. Just a craft-based process that honors the song and the soul behind it.

This is fan-made expression, built from admiration, not imitation.

For Artists, Publishers, and Rights Holders

Each order we create is based on the specific lyrics or song chosen by the individual customer. Because fans request a wide variety of music, across countless publishers, labels, and catalogs, it is not possible for us to secure advance rights from every rights holder.

However, we maintain complete sales records of all orders that include lyrics or music-based designs. If you are an artist, publisher, or rights holder and would like to partner with us, or if you simply wish to claim a fair share of margin from any past or future sales involving your work, we are more than happy to work with you. We do not take your art for granted. We are fans too, and we are here to honor what you have created, not to compete with it.

Some artists and rights holders have even reached out to us directly to request shirts for themselves and their families. They love the result and have openly supported us continuing the work. We share the same mindset: this is about helping true fans connect more deeply with the artists they admire. It is about spreading the love, keeping it meaningful, and bringing that connection to more people in a lowkey, respectful way. It is a win-win, a special kind of tribute that was never meant to be mass-produced.

If you would prefer that your lyrics not appear in any design, we welcome your request. Please contact us at support@proseprint.com, and we will respond promptly to remove or avoid using your song in any future work.

Where We Source Lyrics

We use lyrics that are publicly available from open platforms such as Musixmatch, Genius, and AZLyrics. These platforms exist to connect fans with the music they love, and we interpret public availability there as a sign that artists want their words to be accessible, appreciated, and shared.

If a song's lyrics are not published on any of these platforms, we take that as a signal to not use them. We respect that choice and do not provide it in our designs.

Giving Back to Music

To show our commitment to the creative community, we donate $1 from every music-themed shirt to MusiCares. This organization supports songwriters, musicians, and the future of music.

We do not just print lyrics. We reinvest in the very culture that makes those lyrics matter.

Our Promise

At the heart of it all, our goal is simple.
To support the art that has changed our lives by helping others wear it with pride.

We believe in spreading love, not taking credit.
We believe in craft over commerce.
And we believe in treating every lyric like the gift that it is.

Let’s keep the music alive, together.
